The proposed School Year Calendar for 2016-2017




The proposed School Year Calendar for 2016-2017 has been approved.
 Please note that it cannot be considered final until approval is received from the Ministry
which we anticipate by the end of March.

Here are some ways that parents can find out about bus delays and cancellations 



1. Link directly to OSTA's parent portal to view delays and cancellations or sign up for email 

notification.


2. Follow OSTA on Twitter @OttSchoolBus for cancellation notices.

cancellation.



4. Listen to local radio and television outlets for cancellation notices.

For information about the proposed changes to the French Language instruction model in kindergarten and grades 1 to 3 Early French Immersion

The final report, including recommendations, will be posted to the direct website on January 29th. The report will the shared at committee of the whole on February 2nd. 
The board will make a final decision at a special board meeting on February 9th.

The OCDSB now supports Math help for student online!

To access the online help, go to OCDSB.ca Click on the "Parents" Tab, and then select "Homework Help"



From there you will find resources, including the "Online Math support" option!

WE Gowling Kindergarten information Evening

You can anticipate learning about the Kindergarten Program in the OCDSB and at WE Gowling prior to the "Official" Kindergarten registration date. Registration packages will be available and tours of the school will be offered! Please join us and meet the school Principal and Vice Principal.

If you have friends in the neighborhood who have children who will be 4 years old by December 31st, 2016: please share this information with them!
